What is direct primary care?

The health care providers at Family Care & Wellness understand how difficult it can be to get quality health care under the current insurance medical model. Once you have become a monthly member, there are no copays for your visits.

This program is generally known as Direct Primary Care. In this program, some of your needs, including medication refills or assessment of minor and acute illnesses, can be conveniently managed over the phone. In some instances, an actual visit is required.

Chronic medical conditions can also be managed over the phone or with an office visit. The good news is that there will be no copays. Labs and imaging, if needed, are available at low, pre-negotiated rates with our partnering lab and imaging center. 

To help you get the quality care you deserve, Family Care & Wellness offers a direct primary care program. This program helps keep your health care costs low and the quality of service you receive high. 

Many of these features are similar to some aspects of concierge care but at a fraction of the cost.

What services are available through the direct primary care program?

Participation in the direct primary care program at Family Care & Wellness offers many benefits. In addition to high-quality care when you come to the office to see the team, membership also includes:

Visits may be by phone or by an actual office visit. Your appointments may include sick visits, chronic illness follow-ups for diabetes and high blood pressure, or a follow-up after the implementation of your wellness plan.

This is not an insurance program so we encourage our clients to have a form of catastrophic insurance coverage for hospitalizations or unexpected major health events. This program cannot be combined with any government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid, or any commercial insurance plans.
